'Stowaway' body found in plane's landing gear
JAPANESE authorities are trying to identify an apparent stowaway whose body was found in the landing gear of a passenger plane.
The find was made by a mechanic after Delta Airlines Flight 59 from New York to Tokyo landed at Narita International Airport on Sunday night.
The man, who was wearing a long-sleeved shirt and jeans, was displaying signs of frostbite.
Zenjiro Watanabe of Tokyo Police Department said: "All we know is that he must have sneaked in just before departure, because it is impossible for him to enter the storage during flight.
"It's quite bizarre. I've never handled a case like this before."
