Stalker accused says sorry

A WOMAN charged with stalking and threatening to kill Catherine Zeta-Jones sent a letter to the Oscar-winning actress apologising for any "distress" she caused, a court heard today.

Dawnette Knight wrote that she was a "confused young woman", obsessed with the star’s husband Michael Douglas.

Knight is in custody pending a hearing on July 26, when it will be determined if there is enough evidence for her to stand trial.
