Saudi border clash
SAUDI Arabia yesterday raised the death toll of its border fight against Shi'ite rebels from neighbouring Yemen to 133.
The kingdom's assistant defence minister yesterday said that the bodies of 20 of 26 soldiers reported missing were found on the border.
On Thursday, Saudi Arabia said its army lost 113 troops, including Lt-Col Saeed Matuq al-Omari, a veteran of the 1991 Gulf War. Saudi forces launched an offensive against the rebels after they crossed the border on 5 November, killing two Saudi border guards.
