Russians appeal to Western businesses

Russian opposition groups have urged Western consumer goods producers to stop “financing politically motivated persecution” by advertising on the Kremlin-friendly TV NTV network.

Opponents of president Vladimir Putin say NTV has run reports, talk shows and documentaries accusing opposition leaders of plotting coups and terrorist attacks.
