No immediate Iran sanctions – Moscow
THE Kremlin has said sanctions against Iran are highly unlikely in the near future, the latest signal that Russia is not yet ready to raise the heat on Tehran to allay western fears over its nuclear programme.
Iran is one of the few countries where Moscow still has considerable clout, but Russian premier Vladimir Putin says the West will gain nothing by trying to intimidate Tehran.
