Mottaki to run for Iran presidency

Former Iranian foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki will run for president in a June election likely to be dominated by conservative rivalries.

He is viewed as an ally of parliament speaker Ali Larijani, who lost to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the 2005 election.
