Morsi government faces protests

More than 200 Egyptians protested against president Mohamed Morsi in Cairo yesterday, challenging the Islamist president and his Muslim Brotherhood group less than two months into his rule.

However, several groups critical of the Brotherhood have not backed the protest, among them 6 April, which helped oust president Hosni Mubarak.
