Morocco spurns ‘abortion ship’

Morocco blocked a Dutch “abortion ship” entering one of its harbours yesterday during a campaign group’s first attempt to raise awareness about safe abortion in a Muslim country.

The Women on Waves ship, which has visited Catholic Spain, Portugal and Ireland, had planned to dock at Smir, in northern Morocco.
