Monument's Soviet symbol sparks row
THE Russian embassy in Prague opposes a plan to remove the hammer and sickle from a Red Army monument in a Czech city.
Officials in Brno proposed this week to replace the symbols with a red star at the monument above the grave of 326 Soviet soldiers who helped to liberate the city from the Nazi occupation.
