Man cleared by DNA demands apology

A NEPALESE migrant worker exonerated yesterday by a Tokyo court in a murder case has said Japan’s government must apologise for wrongfully jailing him for 15 years.

Govind Prasad Mainali was jailed for life in 2000 for the murder of a a Japanese woman. DNA evidence cleared him.
