Losing candidate held in Sri Lanka
SRI Lankan authorities arrested former army commander and losing presidential candidate General Sarath Fonseka yesterday.
Gen Fonseka lost to Mahinda Rajapaksa in the election last month, and has accused him of rigging the vote. The government in turn has accused the general of a coup and assassination plot.
