Korean army officer disciplined for tweet

A SOUTH Korean military court has sentenced an army officer to a suspended six-month prison term for tweeting what officials said were offensive remarks about president Lee Myung-bak.

An army court yesterday convicted a Captain Lee for posting insulting remarks about the president and his administration’s projects, a defence ministry officialsaid.
