Kidnap journalists freed after a year
TWO journalists tasted freedom yesterday after more than a year in captivity in Somalia.
A police spokesman said Canadian Amanda Lindhout and Australian Nigel Brennan were at a Mogadishu hotel with Somali politician Botan Isse Alin. They refused to say whether a reported 420,000 ransom was paid.
