Jailbird back in his cage

A JAILBIRD who escaped from a prison was recaptured after getting stuck on top of a television aerial today.

Boris, a European eagle owl, belongs to Liverpool Prison, where he is responsible for hunting pigeons and rodents. The bird escaped from the home of one of his handlers and became stranded on top of a terraced house.

Firefighters used a ladder to reach him on the aerial.
