Internet naming law finally overturned

A SOUTH Korean court overruled legislation which required internet contributors to use their real names when posting comments.

The law took effect in 2007 under a drive to curb libel, the spread of false rumours and abusive comments in cyber space. South Korea saw a series of celebrity suicides allegedly motivated by malicious online comments, which prompted the controversial move.
