Indian women held over Facebook post

Police in Mumbai have arrested two women who posted a comment on Facebook criticising the shutdown of India’s financial hub for the funeral of a powerful Hindu fundamentalist politician.

The Press Trust of India news agency said the women were released on bail yesterday after their arrest for complaining in the post about the closing of shops and transportation after the death of right-wing leader Bal Thackeray.
