Himalayan jump is summit else
A BRITON has jumped into the record books after becoming the first woman to skydive over Mount Everest.
Due to the thin air, Holly Budge, from Bristol, made the 29,330ft jump – 465ft above the Everest summit – with an oxygen tank and a parachute which was three times bigger than normal.
She was among three skydivers who made the first parachute jump over Mount Everest yesterday. After her jump, the 29-year-old, who works in the adrenaline sports industry, said: "It was amazing. There are views that you don't get anywhere else in the world."
Around 30 skydivers from over ten countries are in the region and are set to make the jump in the next few days.
