Heavyweight shrimp pasta
A PASTA dish with more than 3,000 calories – more than a day-and-a-half of an adult’s recommended intake – features high on the Xtreme Eating list of America’s most unhealthy restaurant meals.
The Centre for Science in the Public Interest compiles an annual “food porn” list to alert consumers to the levels of calories, saturated fat, sugar and salt on offer. This year a shrimp pasta from the Cheesecake Factory – made with butter and cream and battered fried shrimp – was found to have 3,120 calories, 80g of fat and 1,090mg of salt.
