French first lady in best-dressed top ten
CARLA Bruni has made it on to a list of the world's most stylish individuals – but her new husband, Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president, has been booted out of the top ten.
Prince William's girlfriend, Kate Middleton, also debuts in the annual Vanity Fair list.
Political wife Michelle Obama is in the top ten for the second consecutive year.
James Bond star Daniel Craig makes his debut, while actress Sarah Jessica Parker gets the seal of approval for the first time despite several years as a Sex and the City fashion icon.
Actress Tilda Swinton, famed for her eccentric choice of outfits, is in the list for another year.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie make the couple list for the second year in a row in the 69th annual style poll.
The names are put together by the magazine's editorial staff and appear in the September issue of Vanity Fair on Friday.
