Film tackles burning issues

MICHAEL MOORE’S controversial documentary Fahrenheit 911 was set to get its first screening today at the Cannes Film Festival.

Moore’s film examines the role oil and greed played in the United States’ response to the September 11 attacks, and explores alleged links between the Bush and Bin Laden clans. Disney has refused to distribute Fahrenheit 911 with chief executive Michael Eisner saying the company "did not want a film in the middle of the political process".
