Fifteen killed in floods and bomb blast
AFGHANISTAN: Authorities say floods in northern Badakhshan province have killed at least 13 people.
Abdul Marouf Rasekh, the provincial spokesman, said three to four days of heavy rains caused the flooding in at least five districts. He said 13 people died on Friday night in Yaftal district.
Dozens of houses have been destroyed, along with hundreds of hectares of farmland.
In Jalalabad, the provincial capital of Nangarhar in the east, a bomb exploded at a music store yesterday.
Spokesman Ahmad Zia Abdulzai said the shopkeeper and one of his customers were killed in the blast. Two other people were wounded.
