Family murdered by ‘crime gang’

A FAMILY of seven, including three young children, were found murdered with their throats slit in a ranch outside the Mexican Gulf port city of Veracruz.

The bodies were discovered after neighbours on Sunday noted a bad smell coming from the home, outside the town of Manlio Fabio Altamirano. The state of decomposition suggested they had been murdered at least three days previously.

The family is believed to have been attacked by an organised crime gang.
