Eastwood gets in
on the Romney act

UNITED STATES: Clint Eastwood just made Mitt Romney’s day. The Oscar-winning director and veteran film star has confirmed he will endorse the Republican candidate in the US presidential election in November.

Eastwood, 82, is backing Romney against Barack Obama because, he said: “I think the country needs a boost”.

The actor was among
Romney backers at a fundraiser on Friday night in Sun Valley, Idaho. He once starred in the Dirty Harry movies as detective Harry Callahan, with the catchphrase: “Go ahead, make my day.”
