China: The death toll from a blast at a chemical plant in eastern China has risen to 22 but more than 7000 people evacuated after the explosion have now gone home.

The blast, which occurred yesterday morning when a chemical reactor exploded during a test run, also injured 28 people.

Australia: Scientists have identified two ancient reptiles that swam in ice-cold waters 115 million years ago.

They are among the first creatures of their type found from the period that came soon after the Jurassic era.
