Camp X-ray French freed
UNITED States authorities have handed over four French detainees from Guantanamo Bay in Cuba to the French government.
Washington and Paris have been working in recent weeks to allow several of the seven French detainees at the US naval base to return to France.
"American authorities have decided to hand over to France four of these detainees who will be repatriated to France today," the ministry said in a statement.
Talks are to continue about handing over the three others, the statement said.
