Briton appeals murder conviction
A BRITISH man convicted of killing his wife at their French retirement home and dumping her body in a lake yesterday went back to court to protest his innocence.
Robert Lund, 57, was given a 12-year prison sentence for murdering his wife, Evelyn, after they emigrated to France. But yesterday, he told a French appeal court his wife's death was a tragic road accident.
