Biotechnology vital, Blair tells US audience
BIOTECHNOLOGY is of "fundamental importance" to the UK economy, Tony Blair said in San Francisco last night.
The Prime Minister later flew to Los Angeles, where he and the California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, are set to sidestep the Bush administration by laying the groundwork for a market in carbon dioxide emissions.
