Billionaire arrested in corruption probe

Miroslav Miskovic, a billionaire who built a retail empire during Yugoslavia’s bloody collapse and went on to become one of Serbia’s most powerful men, was arrested yesterday as part of a corruption investigation.

Defence minister Aleksandar Vucic, the Serban government’s anti-corruption tsar , appointed six months ago, had made a series of accusations against Miskovic.
