300 feared drowned in Med crossing bid
ABOUT 300 Africans including women and children, part of a new surge of illegal migration to Europe, are feared to have drowned after their boats capsized off Libya.
At least 23 bodies were reportedly found by Libyan coastguards near the wreckage of three rickety boats which sailed from near Tripoli. A similar number were rescued, officials said yesterday.
