3 jailed for plot to kill Jewish teachers

Three people have been jailed for between eight and 14 years for plotting to kill teachers at a Jewish school in Azerbaijan.

Investigators said ringleader Rasim Aliyev had been hired to carry out the killings by an individual linked to the security services in Iran. Aliyev said it was to be a reprisal against Israel for the assassination of an Iranian nuclear physicist.
