£154m Sydney drugs haul

Australian police have seized A$237 million (£154m) worth of cocaine and methamphetamine found inside a steamroller shipped from China.

Police said that they arrested a Canadian man and a United States citizen in Sydney after finding 350kg of the drugs. The men were charged with importing the drugs and face a maximum of life in prison if  convicted.

It was the Australian Federal Police’s second major drug bust in a week. On Friday, police said officials had tracked down a boat carrying 200kg of cocaine to Australia after it ran aground in Tonga.

A corpse was found on board, and officials are still trying to determine the cause of death.
