Inquiry launched after teenager 'kidnapped from Scottish music festival and raped'
AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after an 18-year-old woman was kidnapped from a campsite and raped at Scotland's biggest music festival.
The teenager was lured into a van at T in the Park in Balado, Kinross-shire, by two men, who drove her to another area.
One attacked her while the other banged on the side of the van to drown her screams.
The girl, who had arrived at the festival on Friday with friends, was later dumped at an area near the festival venue on Sunday night. A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said last night: "Inquiries are ongoing."
Officers are also investigating the alleged sexual assault of a woman in her 20s, who was knocked to the ground near the bus parking area on Saturday.
Tayside Police said her male attacker was disturbed by two women walking past. The force appealed for witnesses.
On Tuesday, three men appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of two people at the festival.
Two 20-year-old men from Fife were found with serious abdominal injuries on Sunday night. Robert Lindsay, 23, John Dorfman, 22, and Joseph Lindsay, 25, each faced two charges of attempted murder at Perth Sheriff Court. Dorfman was also charged with assault.
None of the three, all from Glasgow, made any plea or declaration and were released on bail.
The two injured men were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. One of the men has been discharged from hospital, while the other was moved out of the high-dependency ward into a normal ward on Tuesday.
