SCOTS in West Kilbride were among those in the west of Scotland that enjoyed sizzling temperatures today.
Paisley, Glasgow and inland Argyll were also among the hottest areas of Scotland on Wednesday afternoon with temperatures breaching 20C in Strathclyde and further north into parts of the Highlands, including Glencoe.
Temperatures in the northern and north-easterly regions of Scotland and the south-east were cooled by cloud cover, while Edinburgh enjoyed temperatures of around 15C.
The weather in many parts of Scotland is expected to remain sunny until the weekend, though forecasters say temperatures on Thursday and Friday will be slightly lower across the country.
Temperatures yesterday were even hotter, with highs of 24C recorded.
