Young mum with heart defect runs 10k for charity

Mum-of-one Danielle Urquhart took part in a 10k run with her husband on 11 July at Queens Park in Edinburgh for the Arrhythmia Alliance charity.

Danielle, 24, was diagnosed with both Atrial Tachycardia and Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia (IST) and has undergone three ablations, the most recent of which was only three weeks prior to her run.

As a result of this event, along with other activities such as a car boot sale, Danielle has managed to raise almost £400 for Arrhythmia Alliance,

Danielle said “I can’t thank the charity enough for all the support they have provided – for both me and my husband. Not only through three failed ablations but also during my pregnancy.

“There are a lot of people I can’t thank enough, my amazing cardiologist, my husband who’s supported me through it all, and also my little boy Kian.”

Arrhythmia Alliance (A-A) is working together to improve the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for all those affected by arrhythmias.
