Police are today continuing the hunt for three muggers who attacked and robbed a 22-year-old man in Edinburgh in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was walking on Dundas Street, at the junction with Northumberland Street, at about 02:30, when he was approached by three men.

He was punched by one of the men and had a mobile phone and a wallet containing bank cards taken.

One suspect is described as a white male, between 20 and 23 years in age, around six feet in height, with a skinny build and short brown hair with a side parting. He was wearing a grey cardigan, a purple T-shirt and blue jeans.

The other were white males around the same age. They are described as having short hair and being smartly dressed.
