Hotel's pillow project is talk of the town
POEMS are to be left on the pillows at a new hotel as part of a new initiative to promote Edinburgh as a world city of literature.
The Royal College of Surgeons has joined forces with the Scottish Poetry Library to create Pillow Talk.
Three local poets - Elspeth Murray, Richard Medrington and Andrew Philip - spent a day "in residence" at the hotel yesterday to pen material for the project.
Seven poems, all themed towards travel and hospitality, have been unveiled by the hotel, Ten Hill Place.
Sales and marketing manager Adrian Hanger said:
"The Pillow Talk collection allows us to support talented poets whilst creating poems which will provide a warm welcome and inspirational introduction to Edinburgh."
