Hospitality courses get bursary boost
FOUR hospitality courses being run in Edinburgh have received part of a bursary fund set up to help students in financial difficulty.
Telford College, Napier University Business School, Scottish Agricultural College and Queen Margaret University College have all received part of the bursary fund worth nearly 100,000.
The money will help students pay for essential equipment, such as professional standard knives and cooking equipment.
The gift was made by charitable organisation the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland.
David Cochrane, chief rxecutive of HIT Scotland, said: "It is a shame that people who have the passion to enrol in a hospitality course may have to leave because of financial constraints. These are the sorts of people who can push the industry forward."
