Hospital helps to celebrate NHS birthday

MEDICAL archives, a uniform parade and lessons on infection control all form part of an event marking the 60th anniversary of NHS Lothian.

The Western General Hospital is throwing open its doors on February 20 and 21 to celebrate the milestone.

The hospital is inviting local residents, staff, visitors and patients to take part in the celebrations marking the achievements made in healthcare over the last six decades.

Dancers from the Artlink project, who perform in hospital wards to entertain patients, will also perform for the event.
