Hospital gets £4800 boost

STAFF at the Western General Hospital's oncology department are to receive a £4800 boost.

Lorraine Gibson raised the cash in memory of her niece, 21-year-old Lee-Anne Swift who received cancer treatment at the hospital and died in September last year.

Mrs Gibson said: "We just had to do something because they were absolutely fantastic."

Together with colleague Eleanor Watson, she organised a bag packing event and raffle to raise 2410.

An unamed Grangemouth firm stepped in to almost double the total by donating 2400.
