Holloway takes on Sunday morning radio slot

THE controversial former Bishop of Edinburgh is to present a radio talk show for the BBC.

Richard Holloway will be presenting Sunday morning shows in a new series which starts on BBC Radio Scotland later this month.

The 74-year-old was Bishop of Edinburgh from 1986 to 2000 and is a former Professor of Theology.

He was regarded as one of the most outspoken and controversial figures in the Church thanks to his high-profile support of liberal causes, including campaigning on rights for gay and lesbian people.

The first programme of the Sunday Morning With Richard Holloway series will begin on February 22, at 8.05am.
