Hogmanay: Germans in the house for 'after-show' gig

A GERMAN house duo are to headline the official Hogmanay "after-show party".

Booka Shade will be performing a full live set at the HMV Picture House shortly after the midnight fireworks display lights up Edinburgh's skyline.

Support acts, including Tim Green, Gary Beck and Alan Dobson are also due to play at the event, which starts at 10pm and finishes at 5am.

The event is being organised by music promoter Musika and is part of the official Hogmanay programme, which also sees rockers Biffy Clyro headline the sold-out Concert in the Gardens and The Coral head up the street party's main stage on Waverley Bridge.

Tickets for the Musika event, priced 33.50, are available from Tickets Scotland or Ripping Records and direct from the HMV Picture House on Lothian Road.
