Lindsay Mclellan, 22, a hairdresser from Dalry, lists her favourite beauticians.

1 Myra Crawford, 3a Lutton Place I come here to get my legs, upper lip and bikini line waxed. They even have different waxes.The beauticians are always friendly and professional, which makes me feel like a valued customer. The salon was also included in In Style magazine, which is exciting.

2 Pure Nail & Beauty, 138 Lothian Road They have spa treatments and amazing massages that always relax me after a stressful day.

3 Zen Lifestyle, 2-3 Teviot Place This is one of the best beauty salons in Edinburgh. I love the Oxygen Facial, which always leaves me feeling revitalised. I sometimes come here to get my make-up done before a night out.

4 Serene, 3 Marchmont Road I've been going here for a while now, ever since I went with my mum for a birthday treat several years back. The manicures are amazing and everyone at work always complements me on my nails afterwards. I've also had fake tan done here, which turned out well.

5 Essential Therapy, 49 Broughton Street This is a lot posher than the rest, which adds to the pampering experience. I go here with my boyfriend as they also have treatments for men. He has the chest wax!
