Hibs goal is to attract Northern Ireland fans
A HIBS supporters club is boosting its activities in an attempt to attract more members.
Following a successful tribute event to club legend Pat Stanton last year, the Northern Ireland Hibs Supporters Club is hosting an event next month for another favourite, Arthur Duncan.
It is hoped the bash will increase awareness of Hibs across the Irish Sea and result in an upturn in fans travelling to Edinburgh for home games. The Belfast-based club will stage the event on June 21, which will take the same theme as the Pat Stanton night and a similar one the year before to Lawrie Reilly.
The events raised hundreds of pounds for the club and related charities such as the Dnipro Appeal.
Organisers also hope Hibees from the Capital make their way across to Northern Ireland for the event, and they are also appealing for prize donations. Events for travelling fans such as a night out and five-a-side football game are also set to be organised.
