Women who drink too much coffee risk IVF treatment success, study says

Women who drink five or more cups of coffee a day halve their chance of successful IVF treatment, according to a new study.

Researchers who followed up 4,000 IVF and ICSI patients said the adverse impact was “comparable to the detrimental effect of smoking”.

The Danish academics said drinking that much coffee cut the live birth rate by 40 per cent.
