Three more swine flu deaths in Scotland
THE number of swine flu-related deaths in Scotland has reached 43 as three more cases were confirmed yesterday.
Two of the latest victims, an adult from Glasgow and one from the Highlands, also had other health conditions.
But a third victim, from Glasgow, had no other recorded illness.
Health secretary Nicola Sturgeon said: "While we know that, for the vast majority of people, H1N1 is a relatively mild illness, we also know that, in tragic cases like these, it can kill."
People in priority groups will be vaccinated as soon as vaccines arrived in the country, she said.
