Swine flu sufferer dies

A woman who was suffering from swine flu has died in hospital, Scottish health officials said tonight.

The 59-year-old, from Islay, was admitted to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley on August 8 and had underlying medical conditions.

The woman died early this morning and is the sixth person to die in Scotland who had been suffering from A(H1N1).
