Specialist seat for girl who suffers seizures
A FIVE-YEAR-OLD who can suffer up to 50 seizures a day has been given a specialist seat designed to improve her quality of life.
The Evening News told in February of a £2500 fundraising drive to buy the device for Charlotte Farrell, from the Inch, who suffers from global developmental delay, microcephaly and epilepsy.
Thanks to charity Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children and other generous donors, she now has the portable chair.
Her mother, Susan, said: “Having this seating means that Charlotte can stay in the living room with us when she needs a wee nap and if she has a seizure we know she will be safe.
“It’s all about getting a balance between comfort, security and quality of life.”
