M8 Charing Cross closure lifted after police incident
A section of the M8 in Glasgow shut due to a police incident this morning has now been reopened, according to Traffic Scotland.
Officers closed two lanes on the eastbound carriageway at junction 19 (Charing Cross) at 9:40am while they responded to a report of concern for a woman.

Hide AdPolice Scotland said the woman has since been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Drivers were urged to "exercise caution on approach" to the scene, where lengthy queues have built up all the way back to junction 24.
The westbound carriageway is also experiencing traffic from junction 17.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called to the M8 eastbound at Junction 17 in Glasgow around 9.40am on Thursday, 17 September following a report of concern for a woman.
"She has been passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
"The road was closed eastbound with a diversion in place and has now reopened."
