Ministers unveils £1.45m health study

THE Scottish Government is to spend £1.45 million on research into links between the environment and public health, it emerged yesterday.

Experts from ten organisations will take part in the four-year study. Richard Lochhead, the environment secretary, said the project would be led by the Institute of Occupational Medicine in Edinburgh.
