Liver disease cases drop
CASES of a severe liver disease are at their lowest in the Lothians for five years.
Health Protection Scotland statistics show in 2008 there were 198 diagnoses of hepatitis C across the Lothians, and preliminary figures for this year show only 47 cases to the end of March.
